The Co-Located Trade Platform

China Trade Week Kenya is the larger trade environment within which Hela Storytellas Edition 6 will sit.

China Trade Week Kenya is a major business-to-business trade exhibition platform that brings together manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, buyers, investors, and market-facing institutions. It creates a live environment where products, partnerships, sourcing conversations, and commercial networks can move from interest to actual engagement.

It matters to Hela because it places Edition 6 inside a real trade ecosystem — one where questions around movement, access, systems, markets, capital, and growth are not abstract, but visible and active on the ground.

Alongside CTW Kenya is the co-located Africa Build Show, which adds another layer of practical market relevance through the worlds of construction, materials, infrastructure, and the built environment. Together, these platforms help widen the economic terrain around Hela Storytellas.

Built, Brick by Brick

Hela Storytellas has been built across phases, people, and vehicles.

What began as a small, experimental financial literacy platform has grown through multiple layers of contribution, ownership, and strategic support. This section reflects that build honestly.

Founding Partner

Meta Goods OlengKingi Ltd. is the founding vehicle behind Hela Storytellas — helping initiate the platform, shape its early identity, and support its first development phases.

Anchor Partner Involvement

Global Exhibitions Inc.
A business-to-business events management company with over 10 years experience in convening trade shows and conferences. GEx came in to support Hela Storytella’s scaling efforts.

New Asset Owner

Aje Telo took over ownership of Meta Goods’ stake in Hela Storytellas and now helps shape the next chapter of the asset through stronger structure, broader stakeholder alignment, and a more scalable ownership vehicle.

The journey so far

From financial literacy conversations to narrative-driven systems understanding.

Hela Storytellas began in 2023 in a small room, as an open and informal exploration of money, growth, and opportunity. Over time, the conversation deepened.

Editions 1 to 3 explored networks, identity, ownership, digital tools, and how people position themselves around opportunity. Edition 4 pushed the question toward repeatable systems. Edition 5 expanded that thinking into ecosystems, markets, and institutional participation.

Now, Edition 6 moves further — not simply explaining economic systems, but revealing them through story worlds, characters, and consequences.

Editions 1–5

A journey across rooms, markets, and systems.

From a small room to live market environments, Hela Storytellas evolved by deepening the questions it asked and the environments in which those questions were explored. What began in a coffee shop as a compact, open-ended exploration of money and growth gradually moved into more visible, more applied, and more market-facing forms.

2023

Editions 1–3

Origin The Small Room

A coffee shop. Around 30 people. Open conversations about money and growth. These first editions formed an exploration cycle — intimate, curious, and honest — where participants began to understand that money is not only about effort, but also about access, positioning, tools, and ownership.

  • Networking as an economic tool
  • Creative monetization
  • Digital tools (NFTs, AI)
  • Ownership and income independence
2024

Edition 4

By Edition 4, the discussion became more focused and platform-specific. The room moved from broad awareness into visibility strategy and repeatable positioning — especially around how professional presence can unlock opportunity.

  • LinkedIn visibility
  • Client acquisition
  • Personal branding
  • Profile clinics

Edition 5

Edition 5 expanded Hela into a co-located live market environment. The conversation was no longer only about how to think about money, but how to participate in spaces where knowledge, products, buyers, creators, exhibitors, and opportunity could meet in public.

  • Pricing & profitability
  • Funding & growth
  • Partnerships & distribution
  • Live market participation
Hela Storytellas Edition 5 audience
A milestone by Edition 5

700+ visitors.

Up from around 30 guests in Edition 1, Hela Storytellas had, by Edition 5, grown into a much larger live public environment — proof of its expanding reach, relevance, and public energy.

Edition 6 Method

Edition 6 will be explored through story worlds, characters, and consequences.

Financial systems are critical, but they are not always easy to see, understand, or feel. So for Edition 6, Hela Storytellas changes method.

Instead of only talking about systems through panels and abstract frameworks, Edition 6 introduces a narrative approach:

Story World

A fictional but familiar world through which real economic forces can be felt.

First Story World

Characters

People trying to build, move goods, access capital, survive, and scale.

Voices in the System

Consequences

What happens when systems work, stall, exclude, unlock, or break down.

First Story World

Spare Parts

The first story world of Edition 6 begins with Spare Parts — a fictional world shaped by movement, trade, machines, capital, survival, and ambition.

In this world, something as simple as a spare part can determine whether a business survives or collapses. Through this story, Edition 6 will unpack who shapes systems, who operates within them, and who is affected by them.

The larger system

Edition 6 sits inside wider economic worlds.

The ideas Hela explores touch real sectors: mobility, construction, digital payments, food systems, care, and trade.

Mobility

Mobility

Trade, transport, supply chains, and the movement of goods.

Construction and infrastructure

Infrastructure

The built systems that shape access, movement, and scale.

Digital payments

Digital Rails

Money movement, platforms, interfaces, and financial access.

Voices in the system

The people are not decoration. They are the infrastructure.

Hela is made of voices — people whose work, thought, struggle, and expression reveal how value is created, interpreted, and moved.

The Shift

Not just: How do I make money?

But: What enables money to move at scale?

Hela Storytellas Edition 6 opens that deeper question through story, systems, live exchange, and the consequences of how economic structures actually work.
